BANANA CHOCOLATE BROWNIES

Rich, fudgy brownies made with dark chocolate, cocoa, and bananas for natural sweetness. A decadent dessert with an optional twist of milk chocolate.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 g dark chocolate
  • 125 g fresh butter
  • 50 g of cocoa powder
  • 100 g white sugar
  • 5 pieces of fresh eggs
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 50 g milk chocolate, optional
  • 250 g banana

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Bain-marie (or heatproof bowl over pot)
  • Mixer with whisk attachment
  • Silicone spatula (mariz)
  • Sifter
  • Baking pan lined with parchment paper
  • Oven
  • Knife for slicing

Method
 

  1. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie.
  2. Separate the 5 eggs, the yolks from the whites.
  3. Place the egg whites together with the sugar in the mixer bowl and beat them with the wire on high speed until they are foamy and white. (Like meringue).
  4. Put the butter which is at room temperature into the melted chocolate and mix until they become one.
  5. Then add all the 5 yolks and mix.
  6. Pour some meringue into the chocolate to make it fluffy and then all the mixture into the meringue, gently folding the meringue into the chocolate with a mariz (silicone spatula).
  7. Sift in the cocoa and baking powder and fold with the mariz (mix well) gently, adding the 50 grams of milk chocolate in small pieces along with the banana (optional).
  8. Pour the mixture into a mold with baking paper and bake at 180 °C for about 25 minutes.
  9. Let it cool for 15 minutes before cutting it.
